Freight has been sailed to Struer since the 17th century. But it was not until 1856 that the Port of Struer was officially established at the instigation of merchants from Holstebro, who moved to the area to control the development of the port. The harbour belonged to the market town of Holstebro and it was not until 1917, when Struer was also recognized as a market town that the harbour became jointly owned by the two municipalities. The harbour is now named Holstebro-Struer Harbour.
Holstebro-Struer Marina is the largest in Limfjorden and with its great location and many good facilities is a nice place to stay, whether you are a sailor, water sports enthusiast, tourist, or a family who wants to relax and have some fun. Especially in the summer months, the harbour is buzzing with sunshine and life - a wonderful association of locals, tourists, boatowners, and guest sailors, all of whom help to create the atmosphere and special environment that so many appreciate.
Struer Harbour also offers entertainment at Struer FunPark, Cable Fun Struer, the mini golf course, and the playground, and there is plenty of opportunity to enjoy a good lunch at Ved Fjorden or Værftet or just have an ice cream and a stroll.
